Four-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Churn, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1850, ovoid churn with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, brush-decorated with a large cobalt flowering plant design. Flaking around base. 3 1/4" and 2 1/2" cracks extending from rim to top of handle. Additional 6 1/2" crack from rim. Rim chips. Base chip. H 17".
