Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stamped "L. & B.G. CHACE / SOMERSET," Massachusetts origin, circa 1850, ovoid jug with tooled spout and applied handle, decorated with an abstract design of brushed cobalt slashes. Near mint condition with a worn spot to base, probably in-the-making and a 1/2" touch mark on right side. H 11 1/2".
