Four-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crock, Stamped "JOHN BURGER / ROCHESTER / ROCHESTER," circa 1860, straight-sided crock with applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt design of a large daisy plant. Design includes a large blossom with heavily-shaded petals and dotted interior, a smaller flower to the right, and numerous leaves. Slip-trailed "4" and "B." below the rim. Two large reglued pieces on reverse. Large base chip. 3" crack from rim. H 11".
