Price Realized: $230.00 ($200 hammer, plus 15% buyer's premium).
Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stamped "JOHN BURGER / ROCHESTER," New York State origin, circa 1860, semi-ovoid jug with thick spout and applied strap handle, decorated with a slip-trailed daisy plant with shaded leaves. Excellent condition: Horizontal line on underside on handle, which does not go through to top surface. Some staining. Two in-the-firing 3/4" contact marks on shoulder of left side of jug. H 15 1/4".
