Large-Sized Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Philadelphia, PA origin, circa 1835, ovoid jar with applied lug handles and tooling at base of collar, decorated front and back with a handle-to-handle leaf and flower design. Additional dashes brushwork under each handle. Large cracks o underside, extending onto one side of jar, including some reglued pieces. Rim chips. H 14 3/4".
