Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, attributed to Henry H. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1835, approximately tbree-gallon cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated around the shoulder with boldly-brushed, undulating cobalt vine bearing flowers and numerous leaves. Excellent color. Near mint condition with a 2" Y-shaped line on underside, which does not go through to interior. H 16".
