Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug, Stenciled "James Hamilton /& Co. / Greensboro / Pa," circa 1875, straight-sided jug with tooled spout and ribbed handle, decorated with three brushed cobalt stripes at the shoulder, James Hamilton maker's stenciling at the center, and a stenciled "2" with flourishes underscored by a stripe at base. Small chips to spout and shoulder moldings. Chip to handle. Indentation on shoulder. Some scattered dry spots to surface. H 14 1/4".
