Redware Loaf Dish with Profuse Slip Decoration, Eastern U.S. origin, possibly Philadelphia, early to mid 19th century, with coggled edge, decorated on two sides with four lines of cream-colored slip, embellished with a comb-like tool to produce a spiked pattern. Interior decorated with a leaf or tree design in cream-colored slip. Chips and wear to edge. Length 13 1/2" ; Width 10".
