Open-Handled Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Asterisk Decoration, possibly Manhattan, NY, early 19th century, approximately one-gallon ovoid jar with tooled foot and open loop handles, decorated on the front and back with a brushed cobalt asterisk or star. Restoration to midsection, rim, and base. H 9 1/4".
