Very Rare Miniature Redware Flask with Manganese Bird Decoration, probably PA or Southern U.S. origin, early 19th century, flattened form with narrow mouth and squared base, decorated on one side with a brushed manganese bird surrounded by several dashes. Reverse decorated with a brushed manganese line or stylized flowerhead design. Neck decorated with a brushed manganese band. Highly unusual size and bird decoration. Minor spout nicks. H 4 3/4".
