Price Realized: $6,050.00 (Price includes 10% buyer's premium).

Rare One-Gallon Stoneware Advertising Jug with Elaborate Deer Scene, Stamped "P. WHITIN & SONS / WHITINSVILLE, MASS," attributed to J. & E. Norton, Bennington, VT, circa 1855, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt scene featuring a standing stag with turned head and spotted body. In the background, on a hill to the left, stands a pine tree surrounded by shrubs, and on a hill to the right, a length of fence.
