Exceptional Miniature Stoneware Spittoon with Blue Decoration, Baltimore, circa 1860, finely thrown spittoon form with carved opening at the side, and thrown circular opening at top. Circumference of spittoon decorated with six cobalt leaves. Opening at side surrounded in cobalt. Outstanding size and strong color. Possibly made as a child"s toy or salesman"s sample. Mint condition. Height 1 7/8" ; Width 3 5/8".
