Sewer Tile Scuplture of a Barn Swallow Family, Incised "S.F.B.C.," Midwestern origin, late 19th or early 20th century, hand-modeled in the form of a mother swallow in a nest with baby swallows under each wing. Nest with elaborate incised leaf and floral designs, further incised "M.C.". Chip to bird's beak. Two shallow chips to underside, probably in-the-firing. L 3 3/8".
