Glazed Redware Jug, New England origin, early to mid 19th century, half-gallon, highly ovoid jug with ribbed handle and rounded foot and spout, the surface decorated with heavy manganese sponging over a red clay ground. Heavily chipped section to base. Glaze loss to midsection. Rim wear. Wear and a chip to handle. H 6 1/2".
