Rare and Fine George Ohr Pottery Candle Holder with Heavily-Crumpled Body, Stamped "G E OHR, / BILOXI," Mississippi origin, late 19th century, squat cylindrical form with small circular opening, the circumference with crumpled and twisted wall, the top surface with similar treatment. Surface decorated with an appealing speckled green glaze over an orange ground. An exceptional example of this form. Excellent condition with a small bit of kiln furniture residue on underside. H 1 1/2" ; Diameter 4 1/2".
