AUCTION HIGHLIGHT! ( Highlights | Antiques / Americana)Rare Set of Six Signed Pablo Picasso Etchings from Aristophanes' Lysistrata, Limited Editions Club, New York, 1934, featuring the following classical scenes: Couple and Child, Cinesias and Myrrhine, The Banquet, Oath of the Women, Two Men and a Sailboat, and Accord Between the Soldiers of Sparta and Athens. All signed by Picasso and numbered "150/103". Includes a folder with Lysistrata book cover, which the etchings were originally presented in. Provenance: Purchased by the consignor's uncle from the Limited Editions Club in 1934, and never offered for sale since that time. All etchings in excellent condition. Book cover inside folder has some staining. Framed Dimensions: 15 7/8" x 12 1/8".
