Exceptional Rustic Hall Tree, circa 1880, composed of rhododendron roots, three pairs of large deer antlers, and a very large pair of elk antlers at the center. Square-head nail construction and original dark finish. A very fine example of rustic folk art, possibly made for a hunting lodge. Provenance: Recently found in a Maryland home. Excellent condition with minor damage. H approx. 82" ; Width (at elk antlers) approx. 38".
