Early Blue-Painted Blanket Chest, late 18th century, with iron handles and the brass name plate "James Simpson / 1789," the surface covered in early robin's egg blue over black paint. Heavy wear to paint and surface. Dimensions: 41" x 20 3/4" x 19".
