| Description: |
Nicely shaped stoneware wax sealer tapering from a narrow top to a larger bottom, stenciled, "NEW GENEVA POTTERY," and decorated with 3 hand applied lines. An interesting, small, shallow channel was cut into the lip by the potter to assist with the removing the wax sealer lid. Made c1870. This is a very attractive piece of Western Pennsylania stoneware. |
