Item #SERC01 |

| Description: |
See Comstock's book, page 266, for similar examples of this signed Eberly bean pot. This one is a nice reddish-orange color, unlike the usual dark brown that is seen on these pieces. The inside rim and inside base perimeter are decorated with a glazed bright yellow line. The rest of the interior is clear glazed, creating a bright orange effect. This bean pot has a spout, unlike Comstock's two examples. The Eberly's referred to this pot as their "Boston Bean Pot;" it is impressed on the shoulder:
STRASBURG, VA.
