| Description: |
This crude, blue-decorated stoneware pitcher was made in Central Pennsylvania or Ohio, circa 1860. It is decorated in cobalt with a three-blossomed plant on the front, a vertical line of cobalt on either side of the spout, and cobalt at the handle terminals. There are two wide, incised lines running around the collar and a pronounced foot at the base. It appears to hold approximately one gallon. |
