This stoneware lid is decorated around the top with three groups of swags and flowers and a heavy circle of cobalt around the knob. It was made at the Richard C. Remmey pottery of Philadelphia, circa 1870. For those interested in stoneware lids, few come more highly decorated. |

Excellent condition. Glaze line extending from top edge a few inches. In-the-making, semi-circle line on underside of lid's edge. Very small chip on flange on underside. In-the-making stone ping on underside. |
