| Description: |
This lid is decorated in cobalt with three brush-applied leaves, as well as cobalt around the button knob. It has an unusual, raised, plateau-like top, with two incised lines running through the decorated areas. The underside is fitted with a flange to fit it on a crock. This lid was most likely made at the Richard C. Remmey pottery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, circa 1860 to 1880. |
