| Description: |
This jar was probably made in New Jersey or New England circa 1790 to 1820. It is decorated with several cobalt dashes around the shoulder, which are striked through the two incised lines. This piece is of an unusual, vase-like form, with an ovoid waist that tapers up to a small, flaring collar at the top. It appears to hold between 2 and 2 1/2 gallons. |
