Description:

This redware flowerpot was purchased in Thurmont, MD., (formerly Mechanicstown) and was probably made at the shop of W.A. Lynn by Anthony Baecher, c1880. Baecher also worked in Winchester, VA., and similar examples are signed with his Winchester mark, as well. The rim is deeply scalloped and there are two lines of deep beading around the midsection of the pot. It is covered in Baecher's typical cream and brown glaze.

Size:

6 ¾" tall.

Condition:

Considerable glaze loss and chips. Some flecks of white paint. No cracks or restoration.
