Description:

Incredibly rare stoneware table pitcher, impressed,

CHARLESTOWN.

This Charlestown, Massachusetts pottery was established by Barnabas Edmands and William Burroughs in 1821. This ovoid table pitcher is decorated with deeply incised wavy lines surrounding its shoulder. A series of deeply incised lines runs right below the rim, while yet another line separates the body of the pitcher from the collar. Unusually small handle.

Made c1830 or earlier. Large size, 2 gallons.


Size:

12 1/4" tall.

Condition:

Serious cracks as you can see in the photos. Minor chips.

Super, super rare piece. They don't come on the market. Worth restoring or enjoying as it is.
