Back to Maryland Stoneware |
Item #BXP03 |

| Description: |
This stoneware pitcher of unusual 3 pint size was made in Baltimore circa 1850 to 1870. It is decorated in cobalt with a two-stemmed, flowering plant, (somewhat different from the popular clover motif found on most Baltimore pottery), along with swags on the rim and highlights at the handle terminals. The pitcher has an attractive, smooth-sided shape that bellies out near the bottom and which is rarely seen on pitchers of this size. |
