| Description: |
This early jar is beautifully decorated all around with four large fully formed flowers. Its applied handles are also decorated at their ends. It has a large, deeply impressed 2 gallon capacity mark, just below its unusually tall rim. Its base is finished with tooled lines, which is typical of skilled, early potters. This jar was made in Baltimore circa 1830. |
