Description:

This jar is decorated around the entire piece with bright, cobalt blue chain links and a line. Stoneware with chain link decoration is usually attributed to a slave potter. This piece was probably made in Alexandria, Virginia and was made in the mid 19th century.

Size:

8" tall.

Condition:

Excellent condition. A chip on the base and a tiny flake on the rim.
